Southwest Wind power's WHISPER W-100 wind turbine provides outstanding performance in high wind speed locations. With a rated output of 900 watts at 31mph wind speed, the W 100 can make a significant contribution to an alternative energy system.
Starting at only 12 mph +, you can expect 100 Kw/h per month delivered to your
batteries. or 3 kWh per day, in a 19 kmH (4,5 m/s ) average wind speed location.
The W-100, with its 7 ft. (2.1m) rotor diameter and 40 sq. ft. swept area, is
rugged enough for extreme environments.
With a cast aluminum frame and fiber reinforced blades, the turbine can withstand high winds; with the patented side-furling Angle Governor, it actually retains it's high power output in those extreme wind speeds.
Multi voltage controller - The W-100 comes with the new multi voltage charge controller that offers greater reliability and superior control for battery charging.
The Whisper Controller (with display option) features:
